Grant Thornton picks new location for its regional office in the Kempen region

Grant Thornton will be moving its Kempen office to the 4Wings business centre in Westerlo as of September 2024. This strategic decision means a departure from Turnhout to a more central and sustainable location. The new branch will group all service lines and associated advisors together even better and will offer the necessary facilities to meet growth ambitions.

Sustainable and central location

With the move to the new office space in the 4Wings business centre, Grant Thornton can operate from sustainable and very modern working environment in the Kempen region. As a result of the current and anticipated growth, the former offices on the Parklaan in Turnhout no longer met the requirements after more than 20 years. The central location, right next to the E313 highway, will ensure a more centralised offering of all disciplines and expertise.

‘In Westerlo, we see all our service lines fully represented. The location significantly improves accessibility, both for customers and employees, and makes for a more efficient travel to our head office in Berchem as well as to other regional offices in Belgium. In addition, the new location also offers the necessary additional facilities, such as meeting rooms and locations for seminars and events’, says Kristof Wuyts, partner at Grant Thornton.

‘The choice for the 4Wings business centre underlines Grant Thornton’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and the well-being of its employees. The new office is equipped with the new technologies and facilities that should contribute to a sustainable working environment, in which our employees feel good and can perform optimally. 4Wings offers us the perfect location to realise these ambitions', Kristof Wuyts adds.

Beyond ‘business as usual’

‘In everything we do, we go ‘beyond business as usual’ for our clients. In doing so, we combine a strong local presence with a multidisciplinary approach. By bringing together all service lines and expertise within 4Wings, our employees in the Kempen region can effectively realise our mission, driven by the strength of our core values. We expect an average occupancy rate of 60% at our new location, taking into account working from home and the considerable time that our experts spend on their clients’ location,’ adds Jan Verdonck, director at Grant Thornton.

‘After the opening of our new office location in Liège and the relocation of our Ghent branch in June, I am of course delighted with this new location,’ explains Leslie Van den Branden, managing partner at Grant Thornton Belgium. ‘Our new Kempen regional office fully reflects what Grant Thornton wants to mean for its employees and clients: a flexible yet easily accessible full-service partner with an eye for sustainability and well-being.’
